Case Summary
FHV represented a teenager who was injured while practicing football in a park owned and managed by the City. While running during football practice, FHV’s client tripped and fell forward, hitting his mouth on a metal bracket protruding from the ground. FHV filed a premises liability lawsuit seeking compensation for the teenager’s medical and dental bills, as well as for the teenager’s pain and suffering. At the outset of the case, the City of Fresno denied any liability. Following depositions and discovery, however, the City of Fresno eventually agreed to resolve the case for $70,000.
